Mini heatwave

We have been out applying our Spring fertiliser to our tees and walkways over both courses, this fertiliser is a slow release and will last up to 3/4 months
Both irrigation systems primed up and checked for the season
The Balcomie course surrounds getting a cut to tidy them up
It's great having the support from the club members to help divot fairways for the start of the season
The staff setting up the machinery and cutting heights etc for the start of the season
We have applied another 0.5 tons of top-dressing sand to the Balcomie course greens to help smooth and firm the surfaces up
The 18th green on the Balcomie course has had extra aeration work done of double scarified to -8mm depth to rip out thatch, cleaned up, over seeded then heavy top-dressed

loads of holes for the new seed, the seed was then switched in before heavy top-dressed
Greens 5 & 18 on the Balcomie course have had an application of fertiliser to aid recovery from the winter, the rest of the greens will get an application of liquid fertiliser and iron in the next week or to
Work is continuing to edge/weed and top-up tee paths over both courses
Fairways getting a brush to help disperse the heavy dew/worm casts and lift the grass up before cutting
All our newly built bunkers being hand watered with an application of wetting agent added in to help establishment especially in this dry weather
All our newly built bunkers over both courses being topped up with new fresh sand and shaped ready for the start of the season
