Typical I fix the irrigation leak then we get 67mm of rain in the last few days
Adverse weather jobs were to screen sand for bunkers on the Balcomie course
The course is looking really well after all the rain, it does not take long for it to green up again

Saturday 2 August 2014

We applied our monthly wetting agent and seaweed to the Balcomie course greens
Our turf iron has been out everyday just trying to keep pace on the greens surfaces of both courses
We have been out hollow coring/seeding and top-dressing weaker areas on certain tees
The Craighead greens greens and surrounds cut before an application of Fungicide as a preventative
A usual afternoon task is to keep up to date with machine maintenance ie greasing, clean air filters and radiators, checking cut and heights of cuts etc
With the courses burning up with this dry weather we have been out watering drier areas of fairways mostly fairways 2 & 12 on the Balcomie course
