Greens being cut then sprayed with their monthly application of wetting agent/seaweed & fertiliser over both courses
The Craighead course greens have had a low rate of granular fertiliser to aid recovery from the aeration work that was carried out
Replacing any worn/old sprinkler heads out on the Craighead course that are starting to fail
We have levelled off and back filled the 2 bunkers of the old short game area at the bottom of the driving range
We are checking the moisture levels on our greens daily just now with it being such a dry period, this allows us to know how much water to apply going forward and what areas of the greens need more or less to keep a more consistent level across the greens
The proposed site for the new buggy/trolley store next to our Clubhouse PG has been levelled off with soil to make it a wildflower area until this projects goes forward
Fairways & semi-roughs over both courses have been sprayed with a selective herbicide to control daises
Our new travelling sprinkler has been out at nights to help water our weaker fairways on the Balcomie course in these very dry conditions
With having sprinklers on fairways 2 & 12 of the Balcomie course, it allows us to apply wetting agent/fert/seaweed then water these products in to help improve these surfaces
We have taken away the turf path towards the Balcomie course toilets and replaced it with whin dust to fit in with all other tee paths across the courses as it's very hard to keep grass on this area with it being a popular walkway
