The courses are much greener than this time last year when we had the driest Summer in 40 years
We have replaced all the fairway yardage posts on the Balcomie course to match the Craighead course, the new posts are set in a sleeve with cement round them to always keep them neat and straight
great definition over both our courses
We are applying 5 tons of sand to the Craighead course greens ever fortnight to help dilute the thatch levels in the soil profile
We are trying to turf iron as much as possible behind cutting the greens to help keep pace on the surfaces due to the wet weather and the growth we are having at present
Our wild flower area on our Driving range to encourage birds, bees and insects is looking really good and will be in flower in the next week or so
We have tidied up the start of the 8th tee path on the Balcomie course which struggles due to this path being used by the Greenstaff as well as golfers
We have been testing out new seeders that have the latest technology as we are planning to replace our old seeder next year
Work on the 12th fairway on the Balcomie course continues to help aid recovery from last years droughts
