The Harr lifted early this morning unlike yesterday, so we were out cutting greens, turf ironing greens then spraying them with growth regulator because after the heavy rain the greens have came back to life from the drought and are growing hard again which means we are losing the surface speed.
After the heavy rain on Tuesday night we had to carry out extra work on our bunkers and tee paths from wash outs. Other jobs have been carrying out more cutting again, spraying tees with wetting agent and seaweed.

Setting up the courses for the weekend
The Greenstaff busy getting the course set up for daily play
Spiking of the Balcomie course greens to a depth of 1" to help relieve surface tension/compaction and allow air and water easier into the soil profile
This week we started to dig out area ready for our new and bigger recycling wash down area at the rear of our shed hopefully this will be completed, up and running by the end of the month
Polishing up fairways, other jobs were to set pins for the weekend as it's the start of our Club Championship over both courses, more cutting, cutting/cleaning of the burn that runs across holes 10, 11, 12 & 2nd on the Balcomie course

applying growth regulator to the greens
This morning most of the guys were working on the Craighead course cutting greens, cutting tees, spraying greens with fert/iron/growth regulator, cutting/cleaning/raking bunkers, finishing off cutting semi-roughs and trying to catch up with divoting the worse fairways. On the Balcomie course we cut greens, touched up bunkers, moved tee markers and blew/cleaned car parks
First cut on the greens turf nursery with boxes off since we applied fertiliser to it last week
