Winter work 2021

We have widened our 2nd tee path on the Balcomie course & put in a Railway sleeper face along the tee side

Extended the tee path as we find it very difficult getting turf to grow after the tee path as it's a very busy walkway

Balcomie course greens were slit tined to a depth of 150mm to help relieve compaction
13th greenside bunker on the Balcomie course rebuilt
2nd greenside bunker on the Balcomie course rebuilt
We are working our way through clearing up any storm damage across both courses
11th tee path on the Balcomie course
17th tee fence on the Balcomie course
A big thank you to our member David Morrison for coming out to cut the trees up to get the road to the Club back open etc
We have installed a new borehole at our dump area next to our 12th tees on the Craighead course to allow us to have more water for our irrigation systems going forward
We have rebuilt the large greenside bunker at hole 17 on the Craighead course

Sand will be added in the springtime before the bunker is back in play
The Craighead course greens have been solid tined to a depth of 150mm to relieve compaction and allow better surface drainage going into the winter
minimal disturbance to the surfaces after being rolled
Repairs are now completed to our Craighead course starters hut, in the springtime once we start to get warmer weather we will repaint the outside of the building
The wall short right of green 8 on the Craighead course has been rebuilt
The area in front of the new wall will be kept cut to define the wall
