trying out the demo Toro turf iron
setting up the Balcomie course for another busy days play

Today we started our minor aeration work to the Craighead greens which consists of mini-hollow coring, cleaning up, double verti-cutting then cutting this process has very little affect on the putting surfaces when completed. we managed to complete 5 greens until the rain put pay to the work

On the Balcomie course we have been carrying out irrigation repairs and edging and cleaning the valve boxes. On the Craighead course we have started our rough management program of targeting certain areas and collecting then burning the clippings to help starve these areas for next season

Last month I attended A John Deere demo roadshow. Jobs that we have been carrying out on top of the usually cutting programs was to apply the monthly wetting agent to all greens and to double verti-cut the Balcomie course tees
