From bright sunshine
To having Haar each morning this week
Jobs this week over and above the usual cutting was to spike, cut and spray wetting agent and seaweed on the Craighead greens and spraying growth regulator on the Balcomie greens
With the damp conditions in the mornings we have been turfing ironing after cutting greens over both courses daily to help keep the surfaces at a good pace

With the dry weather we have been using the irrigation system at nights and so far we have had 2 bursts on the Balcomie course side of the system
With the dry weather and the growth slowing down it's allowed us to carry out deep aeration, seed and top-dress to part of our putting green to help improve the surface and drainage
Also we have hollow cored and seeded our 2nd surround on the Balcomie course to help improve this surface

With the start of the summer wet and warmer than usual our roughs have been taller and thicker so we are out cutting and collecting certain problem areas mostly on the Craighead course
monthly application of wetting agent and a little water in on the Craighead course greens
we are erecting a fence at the side of green 2 on the Craighead course to help protect the road and a new house which is being built
Courses drying out nicely
