Cleaning and blowing the car park a job that we have struggled to keep up with this year with being so busy on the courses keeping up with cutting etc
More rain and flooding again this week
I hope this sunny and dry weather continues to help us prepare the courses, catch up with jobs and lets the courses start to drain/dry up
We have a demo grass collector in to help us lift grass clippings from the hard growing areas on the courses

Sunshine at last but will it last, we received over 25mm of rain yesterday
Its the last Tuesday night of the season for coaching the juniors on the driving range
On the Balcomie course we have been cutting fairways and surrounds in different directions of cuts to help stop napping as we usually cut fairways in 2 halves traditional to links courses
Other jobs have been edging/weeding the rear of the 1st tee, cutting/cleaning bunker faces and trimming all sprinkler heads on the Balcomie course and cutting all 3.5" roughs

Never seen the courses so green at this time of year it's just cutting and more cutting so far this year
Today we had our Senior Open on the Balcomie course so we were out setting up with cutting & turf ironing greens, changing holes and tee markers, raking bunkers, finish cutting fairways and finish off replacing the anti-slip strips on the tee steps, with the course being so busy after set up we had most of the staff over on the Craighead course apart from trimming tee sprinklers and divoting the par 3 tees again
On the Craighead course we cut greens & surrounds, raked bunkers, cut tees, divoted tees etc then after break we cut the harder growing fairways and Semi-roughs again and other jobs were to collect balls of the driving range, top-up the ball dispenser and refuel golf buggies

We have made a start to replacing the anti-slip strips on our tee steps
At last we have been catching up with spraying fairways with selective herbicide as the weather is good
Spraying total weed killer along dyke's and tee paths, other jobs have been the usual cutting, if possible turf ironing greens to help speed up surfaces and trimming sprinkler heads etc hopefully this good weather continues to allow courses to dry out
